MY STYLE

I shoot all my work on film, both 35mm and medium format. I love the look of film; that you have to have the artistic vision when you take the photograph, you can’t create it afterwards at a computer. Film is perfectly suited to creating beautiful wedding photographs – the skin tones are so natural and the colour palette that film uses is perfect for creating soft, warm images that have a cinematic, beautiful and reallytimeless quality to them.
I’m not a pure photojournalist as I see the role of the wedding photographer as more than a mere recorder of moments. I believe in offering a more artisan vision, so that your wedding album contains a cohesive collection of photographic art. This means that I combine some photojournalism, for example during the getting ready stages and the ceremony, with lightly directed portraits throughout the day for more of a fine art, editorial look. My aim is to record your wedding day with photographs that showcase your day honestly, genuinely and beautifully; a combination of fine art and real life.
